Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and Betpaddi ("Betpaddi", "Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Betpaddi website, prediction market platform, staking features, bet code conversion tools, AI-powered predictions, leaderboard competitions, and any related digital services (collectively, the "Services" or "Platform").

By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Platform.

1. General Terms

Betpaddi is a Nigerian prediction market and sports intelligence platform that enables users to trade on the outcomes of real-world sports event. Users can test their foresight, participate in competitive staking, convert bet codes across bookmakers, and access AI-powered sports predictions.

The Platform and its features may not be used by individuals who are suspended, restricted, or prohibited under these Terms or applicable Nigerian law. Each user may only register and maintain a single account on the Platform.

2. Eligibility

To access and use our Services, you represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You are resident in or accessing the Platform from Nigeria or a jurisdiction where such services are lawful.
• You have registered with accurate, truthful, and up-to-date personal details.
• You will keep your account credentials confidential and are responsible for all activity under your account.
• You are not subject to any economic, trade, or financial sanctions, or listed as a prohibited or restricted party.
• You are not accessing the Platform through automated or non-human means (e.g., bots or scripts).
• You are not attempting to bypass geographic or technical restrictions using VPNs or similar tools.
• You will comply with all applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) laws and regulations.

3. Financial Risks

Participation in prediction markets on the Platform involves significant financial risk, including the possibility of losing your entire stake. All trades and market entries are volatile, final, irreversible, and non-refundable once confirmed.

You use the Platform entirely at your own risk and should carefully evaluate whether participation is suitable given your financial circumstances. Betpaddi does not provide investment, financial, or betting advice. AI-powered predictions are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and do not guarantee any outcome.

BY USING THIS PLATFORM, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THAT YOU RISK LOSING THE ENTIRE AMOUNT STAKED OR INVESTED IN ANY MARKET.

Betpaddi reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or discontinue any market or contest at its discretion and without prior notice.

4. Identity Verification (KYC / AML / CFT)

To comply with Nigerian financial regulations, including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines and the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, we are required to verify your identity before processing withdrawals or certain transactions.

Before your first withdrawal, you may be required to provide:

• A valid government-issued ID (e.g., NIN slip, International Passport, Driver's Licence, Voter's Card)
• Bank Verification Number (BVN)
• National Identification Number (NIN)
• Proof of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement)
• Facial capture or liveness verification

We may conduct additional checks based on your transaction activity or applicable regulatory requirements. Failure to complete verification may result in delays, restrictions, suspension, or permanent closure of your account, and withdrawals may be withheld.

Betpaddi may be required to share your information with financial institutions, regulators, or law enforcement agencies as required by Nigerian law.

5. Description of Services

Betpaddi offers the following features:

• Prediction Markets: Trade on the outcomes of real-world events in sports. All market outcomes are resolved using publicly verifiable sources.
• Bet Code Conversion: Convert bet codes across different Nigerian bookmakers for convenience.
• AI-Powered Predictions: Access algorithmically generated sports insights for informational and entertainment purposes.
• Leaderboard: Compete with other users and track performance rankings on the platform.
• Developer API: Access Betpaddi's API to build integrations, subject to separate API terms.

All features are provided subject to applicable Nigerian law and may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at our discretion.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access.
• Ensuring all information you provide to Betpaddi is accurate, complete, and up to date.
• All activities conducted under your account, whether or not authorised by you.
• Using the Platform in compliance with these Terms and all applicable Nigerian laws and regulations.
• Ensuring that your participation in prediction markets and staking is within your financial means.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or manipulative purpose.
• Create multiple accounts or register on behalf of another person without authorisation.
• Provide false, inaccurate, or misleading information during registration or KYC verification.
• Attempt to hack, damage, or disrupt the Platform, its servers, or databases.
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code into the Platform.
• Use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to access or scrape the Platform.
• Collude with other users to manipulate market outcomes or staking results.
• Circumvent security measures, access controls, or geographic restrictions.
• Reverse-engineer or attempt to access the Platform's source code without permission.
• Use the Platform in any manner that could harm Betpaddi's reputation or other users.
• Access the Platform if you are in a jurisdiction where such services are prohibited.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of funds, and referral to relevant law enforcement authorities.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, software, algorithms, and data on the Betpaddi Platform are the exclusive property of Betpaddi or its licensors. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of our Platform without our prior written permission.

Your use of the Platform does not grant you any ownership rights in our intellectual property.

9. Third-Party Services and Links

The Platform may include links to or integrations with third-party websites, bookmakers, payment providers, or other external services. We do not control, review, or endorse these third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Your use of any third-party service is solely between you and the provider, and these Terms no longer apply once you leave our Platform. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any external services before use.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Betpaddi, its officers, directors, employees, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, losses, penalties, or legal fees arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Platform.
• Your breach of these Terms or any applicable law.
• Any dispute between you and a third party in connection with the Platform.
• Your infringement of any third party's intellectual property or other rights.
• Any content or information you submit to the Platform.

11. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Platform and all Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, Betpaddi disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content on the Platform, including AI-powered predictions. We are not responsible for errors, interruptions, data loss, or any harm resulting from use of the Platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Betpaddi and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

Betpaddi is not responsible for financial losses incurred through betting, staking, or prediction market activity. In all cases, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you legitimately paid to us in the one (1) month preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Privacy Policy

We care about your data privacy and security. Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by our Privacy Policy.

14. Account Deactivation and Deletion

If you no longer wish to use the Platform, you may deactivate or delete your account:

• Deactivation places your account on hold without permanently removing your data, in case you choose to return.
• Deletion permanently removes your account and associated personal data from our active systems, subject to legally required retention periods.

To initiate this process, visit our Account Deletion Page or contact us at support@betpaddi.com. Upon deletion, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Note that certain data may continue to exist in anonymised or aggregate form.

15. Termination by Betpaddi

These Terms remain in effect for as long as you use the Platform. Betpaddi may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, suspend or permanently terminate your account for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or failure to comply with KYC requirements.

If your account is terminated, you may not create a new account under any name. Betpaddi reserves the right to pursue civil, criminal, or injunctive remedies where appropriate.

16. Modification of Services and Terms

Betpaddi reserves the right to amend, update, or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting, with the "Last Updated" date revised accordingly. We will endeavour to notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Platform.

Your continued use of the Platform after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with any changes, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

We also reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or aspect of the Platform at any time without notice or liability.

17. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and your use of the Platform are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

18. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. Either party may initiate this by sending a written notice describing the issue and desired outcome.

The receiving party shall respond within 20 days. If the dispute is not resolved within 45 days of the initial notice, the parties may agree to mediation or submit to arbitration in Nigeria. Nothing in this clause prevents Betpaddi from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a competent Nigerian court.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable under Nigerian law, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Bet Terms, and any other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Betpaddi regarding your use of the Platform. They supersede all prior agreements or representations, whether written or verbal.
